IMPORTANT! EVERYONE READ THIS.

Hello everyone, I was never the type to make something more dramatic than it needs to be. So I'll go on and say it.

My time has become drastically bogged down with other things, therefore I haven't been on. So to be responsible, I'm completely wiping the staff list with the exception of Arevik and me as Co-Owners. I only want to keep my spot as a Co-Owner so that things aren't made completely screwed up.

Now, for all of the current staff members. I apologize, and you still are appreciated, but seeing how drastically lacking we are in the moderation department, this is what it takes. I feel that JokerScape has become an uneventful server, and unfortunately, our staff was the leading factor in keeping the server going into a positive direction.

For those that are still here... I thank and admire you for your dedication to the server... Yes it's just a game, but it means something that you keep updating the forums with in-game progress.

I am very sorry to say this, but I no longer am able to effectively be in charge of anything. It is my decision to appoint Arevik1 as the one in charge, the big cheese. I'll just be an adviser.

The server is also going to quit being hosted by Dunki by the end of this month. I hate to say this, but the first generation of JokerScape is officially dead. Now it's up to you guys, the players. Me and Arevik1 will start it off, but I believe that neither of us will be able to manage this in time. The staff members at this time will continue to be staff until Dunki quits hosting. As soon as someone else begins to host, there will be a total character wipe. The server will be the same, but the characters will all be deleted.

As my final act of total leadership, this is what I am requiring to be done:
-Completely wiped out staff list, excluding Arevik1 and myself. (when the new hoster begins hosting)
-Appointing two new staff members, one Moderator, one Administrator.
-No more than 5 staff members at any given point.
-The staff applications are coming to an end. Never again. They will be used to appoint the two new staff members, but that's it. From now on, they will be deleted.
-No recommendations for staff. You will be CHOSEN.

As in chosen just by wondering would you take for example someone like me who has already been an admin and make me an admin again by in CHOSEN

i think for the best a new set off staff should be put in, not just becuz i might get picked, but it would be best to get a new young more active group of staff in..

Yes i could some how almost agree with what you said there.
But! I'm not "unactive" i just go away alot over the summer .

I knew that question was going to be asked, and I'll give you my honest response and tell you what my thinking is.

While we are the elders of this server, and we feel like we deserve staff positions, we aren't that active. The problem we have had is that we have been flawed in our idea of a staff member. Inactive staff members mean a dead server, unless the owner is always present. With staff, they have to have a passion for the server and enjoy the server without abusing it. We have had our fun with this server, and we haven't been playing it for a while. So in order to fix this, we need newer players that enjoy the server but they have the passion for playing the game and keeping it clean. The new us. Players like our old staff. Ones that can take the server on their shoulders, and be responsible. And then they will hopefully do like us, and pass it on to the new players when they get bored with it, or in able to play.

That's what it takes. If some of our old staff becomes active again, then they can get staff when a position opens up. It's like a job. What's the point in giving you powers and filling up the administrator spot when the power isn't being used effectively?

If you're playing, then you get your staff spot, if not, then you just get to be a normal player. It's that simple. You still could have verbal authority over the new staff, but that doesnt mean that you can take their spot any time you want to.

Just think about what's best for the server to keep going. It's a good server and it's like no other. Can't find it on the internet. No source comes close. So why waste it?
